Where the School Comes to Your Pool!

About our school

Art of Swimming LLC has been servicing the Long Island Hamptons area since 1981.  Originally known as Vicki’s Aquatots, Vicki started her swim school with a love of the water and passion for teaching.  In 2005 Vicki’s daughter, Kimberly joined her team to help build and grow the brand known as Art of Swimming. Together they offer a combined experience of over 45 years and use a gentle, yet playful approach that is energetic and extremely goal oriented. Vicki’s mission has always been to provide children and adults the education necessary to have a safe and fun time in the water.

Art of Swimming, LLC is a full service back yard swim school offering swimming lessons, life guarding, CPR, first aid, and scuba lessons. Our goal is to get our students swimming in the fastest possible time with the best possible technique. Please keep in mind that each student is different and progresses differently. We also use a variety of unique techniques to accomplish that goal which are not used by any other companies. Even in the "play" times the focus is geared strictly towards obtaining a particular skill in the water. It is not fluff.

We are insured and a member of the US Swim School Association, American Swim Coach’s Association (ASCA) and Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI).  We specialize in terrified non-swimmers, specifically, infants, toddlers, preschoolers, nannies, and adults. We believe in a gentle approach to swimming instruction. We offer high quality swimming lessons at your home pool, providing highly qualified, trained, and insured instructors.

We love children and we'd like to see them become the best that they can be! We love the water and swimming and we enjoy seeing people excel in an area that they have been so frightened in. It is a great joy to take someone, whether child or an adult, from a non-swimmer to a swimmer. It is also wonderful to see someone become proficient at swimming and move through the water with grace and ease. We want our students to become lifelong swimmers, to enjoy all types of water and water sports.
